  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1 cup frosting
  • 2 cups fondant, colored yellow and white

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt together.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, and mix until combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cupcake liners, filling them about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool completely before frosting.
  9. Frost the cooled cupcakes and decorate with fondant flowers to resemble daisies.
