- 1 cup sourdough starter
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk (for frosting)
- In a large bowl, combine sourdough starter, warm milk, sugar, melted butter, and vanilla.
- Mix in the eggs, followed by flour and salt. Knead until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours or until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread with butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Roll tightly and cut into rolls. Place in a baking dish.
- Allow the rolls to rise again until doubled, about 30-45 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk to make the frosting, and drizzle over warm rolls.
