Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

A delicious and easy recipe for Salisbury steak made in a slow cooker, featuring turkey bacon for a healthier twist.

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and chop.
  2. In a bowl, mix ground turkey, breadcrumbs, and chopped bacon. Shape into patties.
  3. Place sliced onions and garlic in the slow cooker. Add the patties on top.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and mushrooms. Pour over the patties.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or until the meat is cooked through.
  6. Mix cornstarch with a little water to create a slurry and stir into the sauce to thicken before serving.
