Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the oil, buttermilk, egg, food coloring, and vanilla extract.
