Rustic No-Knead Rosemary Garlic Bread

A rustic, flavorful bread that requires no kneading and is infused with rosemary and garlic.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh rosemary
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and yeast.
  2. Add the warm water, rosemary, and garlic, and stir until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Cover the bowl with a towel and let it rest for 12-18 hours at room temperature.
  4. After resting, turn the dough onto a floured surface and shape it into a ball.
  5. Let it rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C) and place a Dutch oven inside to heat up.
  7. Carefully transfer the dough to the hot Dutch oven, cover, and bake for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove the lid and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.

Notes

  • For best flavor, let the bread sit overnight before slicing.
  • Experiment with adding different herbs for a variety of flavors.
