  • 2 pounds potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 6 cloves roasted garlic, mashed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the heavy cream, milk, roasted garlic, salt, pepper, and thyme.
  3. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, then pour half of the cream mixture over them.
  4. Sprinkle half of the cheddar cheese on top.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and cheese.
  6. Bake for approximately 1 hour, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
