Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs, vanilla extract, and red food coloring to the creamed mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Use a cookie scoop to portion out dough, then roll each ball in powdered sugar.
  8. Place on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
