  • 1/4 cup butter, softened

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add the yeast mixture, milk, and softened butter to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  6. Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it into small balls.
  7. Fill each ball with red bean paste and shape into buns.
  8. Place the buns on a steamer tray and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Steam the buns for 15 minutes until cooked through.
