Peppered steak & mushroom tagliatelle

A delightful and rich dish combining tender steak and savory mushrooms with tagliatelle pasta.

Ingredients

  • 200 grams tagliatelle
  • 2 beef steaks
  • 150 grams mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 100 ml beef broth
  • 50 ml heavy cream
  • Parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the tagliatelle according to the package instructions.
  2. In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Season the steaks with salt and black pepper, then cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
  4. Remove the steaks and let them rest.
  5. Add onions and garlic to the same pan, sauté until translucent.
  6. Add sliced mushrooms and cook until browned.
  7. Pour in beef broth and stir, then add heavy cream and let simmer.
  8. Slice the rested steak and add it to the sauce.
  9. Combine the tagliatelle with the sauce, and serve garnished with parsley.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the steak for a few hours before cooking.
  • Feel free to add more vegetables like spinach or bell peppers.
