  • 1 pound ground beef or lamb
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup beef or chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, spices, and parsley. Mix well.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until soft.
  5. Add the meatballs to the skillet and brown on all sides.
  6. Pour in crushed tomatoes and broth, bring to a simmer.
  7. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes.
