- 1 cup unsalted butter, cold and diced
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 6 apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Roll out the dough and cut into circles, placing in muffin tin.
- In another bowl, mix apples, lemon juice, cinnamon, brown sugar, and flour.
- Fill each pastry with the apple mixture.
- Top with another dough circle and seal edges.
- Brush with egg wash.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
