Korean Cream Cheese Garlic Bread: Irresistibly Gooey Delight

Korean Cream Cheese Garlic Bread

Korean Cream Cheese Garlic Bread is a unique twist on traditional garlic bread, featuring a gooey cream cheese filling and a deliciously buttery, garlicky exterior.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf of bread (preferably a soft white bread)
  • 200 grams cream cheese
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, sugar, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Slice the loaf of bread horizontally and vertically to create a grid, being careful not to cut through the bottom.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture generously between the slices and on top of the bread.
  5. If using, sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top of the bread.
  6. Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and place it on a baking tray.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the bread is hot and the cheese is melted. Unwrap and bake for an additional 5 minutes for a crispy finish.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the cream cheese mixture.
  • Can be made ahead and wrapped tightly before baking.
