A comforting, creamy casserole bursting with flavors of French onion soup, tender chicken, and orzo pasta, perfect for family dinners.

  • 2 cups cooked orzo
  • 1 pound chicken breast, cooked and shredded
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 can French onion soup
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat and add the diced onion. Sauté until caramelized.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked orzo, shredded chicken, caramelized onions, French onion soup, mozzarella cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix well.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish and spread evenly.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden.
  6. Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, then serve.
