A delicious and warm casserole that combines French onion flavors with chicken and orzo pasta.

  • 1 pound shredded rotisserie chicken
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup French onion soup
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the sliced onion until caramelized.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, orzo, beef broth, French onion soup, thyme, and sautéed onions. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a casserole dish and sprinkle the Gruyère cheese on top.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  6. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
