  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit until frothy.
  2. Mix in melted butter, eggs, and salt. Gradually add flour until dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth. Let it rise for 1 hour.
  4. Roll out the dough, spread butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Roll up tightly and slice into rolls.
  5. Place rolls on a baking sheet and let them rise for an additional 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush rolls with egg wash.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool and serve with icing if desired.

  • For a sweeter frosting, mix powdered sugar with milk until desired consistency.
