Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the sugars with the melted butter until combined. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, stirring until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling them about two-thirds full.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the muffins cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
