1 pound ground beef
4 ounces turkey bacon
1 can kidney beans, drained
1 can diced tomatoes
1 cup bell peppers, chopped
1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup beef broth
Instructions
In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crisp, then remove and chop.
In the same skillet, brown the ground beef. Drain excess fat.
Add the chopped turkey bacon, kidney beans, diced tomatoes, bell peppers, onion, garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt, black pepper, and beef broth to the crockpot.
Stir to combine, then cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours.
Serve hot, garnished with your choice of toppings.
