  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brewed coffee
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the warm brewed coffee, melted butter, egg, and vanilla.
  3. Gradually add the liquid mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Roll the dough out into a rectangle, spread with butter, and sprinkle with sugar if desired.
  8. Roll up the dough tightly and cut into slices.
  9. Place in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark roast coffee.
  • These rolls are best served warm.
