This classic Italian Pasta Bolognese recipe is made the right way with the addition of turkey bacon for a unique twist on a beloved dish.

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 strips turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 1 pound spaghetti

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the chopped turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add diced onion and cook until translucent.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Stir in the ground turkey and cook until browned.
  5. Add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  6. Pour in the red wine and let it simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain.
  8. Serve the sauce over the spaghetti and top with crispy turkey bacon.
