  • 2 pieces chicken thighs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 4 pieces hamburger buns
  • lettuce leaves
  • 2 slices tomato
  • mayonnaise to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken thighs in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Heat oil in a deep fryer or a heavy pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Dip marinated chicken in the seasoned flour, coating well.
  5. Fry chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 7-8 minutes per side.
  6. Drain on paper towels and assemble sandwich with bun, chicken, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise.

Notes

  • For extra crispy chicken, double-dip in buttermilk and flour.
  • Let chicken rest for a few minutes after frying.
