2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract
1/4 cup colored sprinkles
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In a separate bowl, cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
Add the egg and extracts, mixing until combined.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the colored sprinkles.
Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
