A delicious and easy recipe for a Cajun crispy chicken sandwich topped with homemade garlic aioli.

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 burger buns
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Preheat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Dredge the marinated chicken in the seasoned flour and fry until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix mayonnaise, minced garlic, and lemon juice to make garlic aioli.
  6. Toast the burger buns and assemble the sandwiches with crispy chicken, lettuce, tomato, and garlic aioli.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, double dip the chicken in buttermilk and flour.
  • Let the fried chicken rest on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
