Deliciously soft and sweet, these homemade cinnamon rolls made in a bread machine are a breeze to prepare and perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Add all dough ingredients to the bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer.
  2. Select the ‘Dough’ cycle and start the machine.
  3. Once the cycle is complete, remove the dough and place it on a floured surface.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread with softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  5. Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
  6. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise until doubled in size.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly and drizzle with icing, if desired.

Notes

  • For a sweeter roll, add more brown sugar to the filling.
  • Try adding nuts or raisins to the filling for extra texture.
