  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 tbsp culinary lavender

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the sugars and butter until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla.
  5. Alternately mix in the dry ingredients and buttermilk, starting and ending with the dry ingredients.
  6. Gently fold in the blueberries and lavender.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
