  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla, mixing until well incorporated.
  4. In another bowl, mash the bananas and stir in the baking soda and salt.
  5. Combine the banana mixture with the wet ingredients.
  6. Gradually add the flour, mixing until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. For the frosting, beat cream cheese until smooth, then gradually mix in powdered sugar and milk until creamy.
  9. Once the cake has cooled, frost with cream cheese frosting.
